this is pretty interesting. and I think, after all this time, I'm really still the same. maybe a bit more conscious, but still the same person. I think we all remain the same people throughout our lives but only advance in degrees of consciousness, and whoever can achieve the highest degree of consciousness... wins. so if you suck at life, you're probably asleep.

I don't really remember last year's cap opening ceremony. I don't remember where it was held, or what I did, but it was a start and yesterday was an end ): Was high throughout the entire thing, perhaps embarrassingly so (:D) but idk cap love is a v v v nice feeeeeeeelinggg heh. The car ride back was sad, though. It kinda finally sank in? That mentorship was over, and it was quite wasted, along with a sinking feeling I have, even right now, in fact! that my writing is pretty bad now and not picking up. This is not an 'ah well' moment but an 'i'm going to do better' moment, ahah. couldn't help yesterday but feel somewhat jealous of this year's cappers. They looked happy omg; playing football on the acs grass, within schools, within OGs! Mostly hwach guys hahaha but it was cute anyway. Today I learnt two things.

1) Diffusion IS TRUE. It happens in many areas, one of the most unfortunate ones -not saying that diffusion is bad, no-, being the bus.

2) My mother is a hygiene freak. She bought a new toothbrush and many many hand sanitizers (this is good, by the way. Hand Sanitizer is AWESOME) and told my GET ANOTHER THERMOMETER WE MUSN'T SHARE. This is very adorable, and amusing, but something tells me it'll get on my nerves. Eventually.

I've never slept at Four before. If you didn't know, it's now Three Fifty-Nine. I've woken up at Four before, I'm sure everybody has, but sleeping at Four is completely new. Interesting, no doubt. I realize the reason I blog is because everything is then archived down somewhere and if I ever run out of inspiration - inspiration being like toothpaste and a mother's patience never fully gone, I will come here and use whatever I felt at any certain points in time as a reference point.

I've my back to the rain now and the nice chloriney breeze that comes with it. If I've got my back to the rain then what've I got my front to? This screen? That's really disappointing. Bah.

a while back i stood at my window clutching my pillow (ahah, The Bolsters Would Be Better - you won't get it unless you were at my house from 12-2 just now the way Tessa was lovelove) and looking out and thinking and talking to myself with the grilles coming to my waist so i leaned out and waited for the lightning to come and felt the rain on my neck and what not. it's a nice feeling; something like putting yourself in a line of fire - except i wasn't in any risk! and anticipating lightning to strike in the distance and low roars of thunder. then i thought long and hard about cap mentorship and how mentorship had been long but too short and not fulfilling enough but how i'm really, really proud of being a cap mentee and how my mentor is the awesomest person ever. but i notice one tends to say things like this about others particularly when one has not met others for a prolonged period of time. it doesn't matter, she's still great and i wish i could have been a better mentee.

the rain falling on the ground and my pillow (which is very regrettably wet now!) did sound ratherly like bullets but a lot more friendly. like, threshing wheat! or paper bags being crinkled yeah it did sound like that. it sounded nice and accommodating though it might've been acid rain but oh well. smelled nice too!

this ought to be an ljpost if i had a more poetic ljaddress/skin, heh. but i do hate that everything in the world has been reduced to a blogpost. sometimes i don't know whether i should sit down and write or come to blogger and type everything into this box but most of the time typing into a box and watching each letter materialize on my screen seems a lot more fulfilling, 'specially 'cause it's legible.

Today was nice - tiring - happy - fulllll - happy - even more full - nice - funny! - okayish - nice, which is now. So it's been a pretty good day. LDP symposium! Went mostly for the free food and a chance to sit in the Audi for two hours; 'cause the air conditioning there is great. Also because I miss my people heeee and it was nice to watch Jingyi play pokemon then fall asleep very ungraciously and have many people stare at me -.- Free food! Explains the ~fulllll~ haha and then Dad's house; United Square! Jack's Place! :D Which was very nice but compounded with the Free Food haha it just because quite filling. But omg Jack's Place is awesome awesome yay yay! Then loitered, loitered, went back, fell asleep then got sent to training.

Training! Was! Surprisingly! Nice! And slack, and fun, but the water was BURNING OMG HOLY SHIT. I hope Nationals come and go faster than the way they seem like they will now; now they're like IMPENDING DOOM but I guess they won't be on Tuesday and Thursday. After that life will settle into some sort of order that makes sense, which would be good. Then I shall prioritize prioritize and be a happy, happy person :D Who is homework-obsessed, mugs, and goes training three times a week and is training to be a YOG host!

I realize that I have the very unfortunate habit of going around swearing hissily under my breath and jumping around in circles and whiiiiiiiniiiiiingggg every time something goes wrong. For example! The blister I just got on my heel (okay fine I got it two days ago but I jumped around when I got it ANYWAY so W/E!!), which has a diameter of approximately 1 inch and is very attractively (and accurately) circular, but NOT TO ME. /edit: To add on to this, I realize that I also have a tendency to drum my nails and agitatedly scratch the nearest solid object to me, something I am doing NOW, RIGHT NOW because IT HURTS LIKE SHIT OMGGGG BLISTER!!!!!! So if you come to my house and notice lots of unattractive fingernail-scratch-TEEN ANGST marks on my furniture and rabbits and skin and mother and what not, you will know why, I guess.

This is exaggerated by the fact that I am going to Singapore Sports' School tomorrow, and swimming in their pool fastly fastly, which is very, very unfortunately fly-infested and terrifying because, well hello, flies! ! !!! FLIES! And this will also require jumping around and propelling myself in water with said blisterry foot, which i coincidentally whacked, just, now, HARD, against... well, I still don't know. OM yesterday was a long funny happy high nervous exciting terrifying nerve-wracking awesome

but it was four months or blood sweat tears laughter foooood love and now that it's over I don't feel like doing homework haha although I did tell myself that once OM was over I'd start mugging again but oh, never mind. But I should.

The performance itself went okay, for a group who rehearsed a total of two days who got their script finalised the day before the actual competition but line memorizing was scary fast and I don't know why. Maybe someone sneaked essenceofchicken into our chips, or something. There is still many many OM foods left! Ah well, infidels. I realise now that the first half of the performance was me slutting around Ethanyn and the second half was her slutting around...my puppet. Aha! Oh, well.

Now that it's over we'll have to tidy up the LA SIA stuff and clarify WHAT GETS US MAX MARKS BWAHAHAHA!

LA Blocks were SHIT. And by this I mean they were horrible and I did not manage to outperform and ended up praying for the answer to question, I don't know, 10? 9? 50? IT DOESN'T MATTER NOW considering I GOT IT WRONG.

And nobody knows what the right answer is! Nobody! Nobody! So I sat around wondering and wondering and agonizing over whether it was option 1 or option 2, wrote that it was mostly option 1 with a possibility of option 2 happening and then with the 5 remaining minutes of the test I wavered a lot and decided to pray over it. Which, of course, produced absolutely NIL results because what good is it to sit at your seat and go LORD YOU ARE GREAT TELL ME THE ANSWER PLEASE PLEASE SEND ME A SIGNAL~~~. This is, by the way, exactly what I did. It wasn't without sincerity but OMGGG THE ANSWER )':

So yes I never got my Divine Answer and decided to pull one and stick with option 1. Which, as previously mentioned, I have no idea if it's right, or wrong, or whether I misinterpreted the question entirely wrong to begin with and AM GOING TO FAIL.

I feel semi-proud and semi-disgusted with myself. You know the reason why I have so little commitments, etc is because I know I procrastinate a lot, and I know I can't juggle them so I've been dropping everything slowly, starting with French last year and this year slowly decreasing swimming days, which is bad but whatever, and I'd like to quit ELPS. It shows that I have NIL time management but also, I don't know, at least I have priorities. It's a nice feeling, having priorities, but also a sucky feeling, knowing that everyone else has like 12 hours of cca a week (jiale trains what, 6 days a week = 18 bloody hours in the water) and I have maximum 9, but yes whatever my chem worksheets all need to be done in advance.

I like the smell of wood, it is increasingly pretty and pleasant and musty.
